About Us
Iver Village Preschool is adjacent to Iver Village Junior School and benefits from a fun and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment.
At Iver Village Preschool it is our aim to provide a setting in which children are happy and secure and in which there is an atmosphere of mutual trust; where children know they are valued and respected. We aim to provide a setting where learning is exciting and an intrinsic part of their play and all that they enjoy. It is our intention to instil in each
child a lifelong love of learning and to give each child the social skills needed to contribute to the wider community.
Our Setting
Our area outside provides the children with different exciting activities. The opportunity to explore the outdoors is so valuable and enhances learning and development. We have ride on foot to floor cars, climbing frames and a fun ace flyer with up and down action. We have dolls, sand activities, water play and much more. Our excellent area outside means we can get fresh air in all weathers. Having this wonderful outside space allows us to explore the natural world; the children access the garden and classroom throughout their session.
Our classroom is divided into different engaging areas to allow the children to learn and
develop in all seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage:

We love reading and will ensure your child has the opportunity to enjoy a great story each day. Singing, dancing, drawing and number games are all part of the fun and we welcome ideas from you and your children about your interests and how we can include them in the children’s day. We have a wide range of resources for learning and fun and these are regularly updated and cleaned to ensure a safe, as well as a fun experience.

Our Setting Aims to:

Key Persons:
Our setting has a key person system. Your child’s key person will be the person who works with you and your child. When your child first starts at the setting, they will help your child to settle and then support them throughout their time here and with the transition to their next stage of learning.
Records of Progress:
Our setting keeps a record of progress for each child. Staff and parents work together on their children’s progress record; this is one of the ways in which the key person and parents are able to work in partnership.
